Finding Good Roommates

Nowadays it can be difficult finding the right roommate in college, but don't fret StudentApt is here to help you find the right match. If you are looking for a new roommate or a new place to call home visit the Sublet section of StudentApt; here you can post your own place or you can search through others. Here are a few tips on how to post an ad that will attract the right kind of person:
  • Be up front about your socializing and cooking habits, also be up front about your expectation of overnight visitors. Whether you are posting the ad or searching make sure you mention any overnight visitors or significant others that may be there frequently.
  • Don't bother responding to an ad posted by someone you know you wont get along with (even if it is the right price or location), you don't want your new home to be filled with conflict.
  • Try not to room with more than 2 other people. Once you throw more roommates in the mix, the opportunity for conflict can rise significantly.
